PROJECT - ARGUMENTS

It is a fact that:
25% of transport could be solar powered now with no loss of average speed, load carrying and daily use averaged over climate zones and seasons.

The remaining 75% of transport, fitted with solar roofs as solar hybrids or to assist with accessories, and cooling or heating, could cut a further 25% of vehicle emissions.
The serious use of photovoltaics in vehicle design and in vehicle parking and garages, could result in up to 50% reduction of vehicle transport emissions.

It is a fact that:
100% of all electricity generation emissions from coal, gas, oil and nuclear could simply be stopped over the next decade by implementing a world-girdling grid (less complex than the extant mess of oil and gas pipelines) connecting solar arrays in desert and sun belt regions round the world, and feeding north and south, as well as locally, into existing national and international electricity grids.

The actual area of solar panels required to substitute for all non-renewable generated electric power of the world is only about 300km by 300Km, about 200 miles by 200 miles, using the current (old fashioned), cheap, solar technology of 10% efficient photovoltaics.

The photovoltaic generating area could be halved again by new developments in photovoltaics and/or by building photovoltaic generation and water heating panels into the roofs of all new and appropriate old houses, offices and apartment buildings around the world.
